During emergency situations, some women think they can handle defending themselves without much help. Unfortunately, crimes can happen anytime and we might not have any idea when it will happen to us. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time may somehow explain this phenomenon. Statistically, a significant number of crimes have been noted and most of these crimes occur in parking lots where there are few people and less chances of being caught.
But it would also be illegal to beat these criminals even if we wanted to. So we just leave it all up to justice to let them know how it would feel like to be at the other end – the assaulted end. But that is not why I am writing this article – I am writing this to let you know what to remember when you are parking in a car parking lot.
1.You should park somewhere not far from your destined place. You may be giving a chance for the attackers to attack you. Strategically look for a location in the parking lot which can be seen readily by the public. Areas that are not easily seen and are blocked from the public eye are not good parking areas. Always keep in mind that you will have lesser chances of being attacked if you make sure you have a safe parking area. You have to be prepared for the worst things to happen so that you can anticipate these dangerous situations. If you decide to risk parking in an area covered by a big vehicle, think twice and assume the consequences that could happen. If something happens to you when you get attacked, no one can see you and save you.
2.Choose a parking space that is well-lit At night, it will be important to have a well-lit environment for parking. You should walk in a bright road going to your destination and there should be no obstacles where attackers can possibly hide in. You have to make it a point that you will be seen by the public. Better yet, ask someone to accompany you to your car.
3.As you head towards the car, keep both eyes open. Someone could be standing and hiding nearby, or probably even be under your car waiting for you. Do you notice cars or vans near your car? Always check the backseat as you are entering your cars. It is always helpful to be one step ahead. Your cars should be free from blankets and other stuff that can be potential hiding places for attackers.
4.Always be ready. There’s nothing wrong with preparing for the worst. Be on your toes and heighten your senses. Buy a pepper spray that you can take with you anytime and anywhere to be protected. If possible, hold on to your pepper sprays as you walk towards your cars so that you can use it immediately on your attacker. One dad bought her daughter a
keychain pepper spray to attach to her bag so that when she was driving, she would be protected. This made the dad feel a lot better indeed.
The tips that were given above are not a requirement but to follow them will bring you no harm either. Save yourself from trouble and always be alert. You wouldn’t want to become the next victim, wouldn’t you? Potential danger can happen anytime so always be alert. Ask someone to accompany you in walking to your car if ever you feel too uncomfortable. It can be a security guard, an officemate, a friend, or whoever is around to help. Many feel embarrassed that they are afraid, but truth is, in these situations, ther is no room for embarrassment. When someone attacks you, you can no longer rewind things and wish you could have asked for help. So try to prevent this from happening. You should go here if you are looking
where to buy pepper spray.
